It was mentioned recently, that a legal finger was wagged in connection with the Speedback sports car.
I think there was also a European manufacturer who took action over look-a-like replicas, and those cars were crushed.
Could the same happen in this case?

Never got it with the replica thing horses for courses - with an AM your looking for the driving experience and not what others think - Id grow board of a celica experience wrapped in an AM body in all honesty.
Like christmas and coming down to the tree and seeing a box - unwrapping it and seeing an xbox one box
then opening that and finding an Magnavox Odyssey.....

FYI, I don't actually think it was. My understanding is the the company who manufacture the Speedback (not David Brown Cars) were using some actual AM material (logos and such) in a promotional video. It's this they were sued for, not the Sportback.I bought some bits off the guy that made them, had one a finished one in his workshop he was doing some work on for a customer and an unfinished one.
I think he said he had sold 3 and stopped on the forth due to a little pressure from someone not very happy at his knock off's.
The finished one didn't look to bad, gaps and panel fit was good, to your average punter who has never seen a real aston in the flesh wouldn't know the difference until the looked inside or the engine bay and saw Toyota splashed around.

Since posting my comment, I have looked around the internet, and it does appear that AML act very quickly regarding replicas.
There is a reference to a 'cease and desist' notice for this so called 'DB9' in 2010.
A 'Vantage' replica was about to be displayed at a kit car show, but it didn't appear. The comment was again, 'a collar was felt'.

I'd grow bored of the Celica experience even it was wrapped in Elle MacPhersons body !For that money you could buy a very very good car, a cracking Boxster S for example. Why would you want to buy that tat instead.
