I hope my V12V is ultimately worth next to nothing as a result of as many enjoyable miles over mine and it's lifetimes as possible! Then one of my as yet non-existent kids can hopefully enjoy it if cars like this are still allowed on the roads/can still find fuel.

Future car purchases may be a bit more logical, but this one should be around for a long time so I don't care about it's value.

I'll worry about the value if I find myself in a situation where I need to sell.

Miles and smiles for now.

^^^ This.

Don't worry about the depreciation on the car, just the appreciation of the miles travelled in it. To nice places with nice people preferably. smile

Plan a nice road trip...

You talking about V12Vs or V12s in general ? smile

Depends on condition, mileage, spec etc.

Depends if Cockernee has driven it.

Depends if Funghi George has owned it.

Depends if Nick has curried the interior.

Depends if Rob ever lent it to his son-in-law.

There's a Sept 09 DBS for sale in Quantum Silver at Stratstone Hagley. Beautiful spec, immaculate condition, B&O System etc.......£92k smile
I thought it was already in garage Phil. Will the girls fit in the back?

Just noticed V12V's starting to drop a little in price now, although per year motoring cost/loss isn't so bad. Wondering where V12V prices will bottom out?
As an owner trying to sell one ( http://is.gd/mJ60nN), my take is prices peaked just before the winter was noticeably closing in and then turnover of V12Vs at dealers slowed, stocks seemed to rise and basic supply and demand has put downward pressure on prices. Looking last week I think I could only find 7 or 8 sub £90k V12Vs and as the weather starts to turn the other way I think prices will hold and start to rise, maybe only modestly.

There are only a limited number of these brutes and I'll bet most don't see the light of day most of the winter and thus many buyers see little value buying at the beginning of winter only to garage it for 4 or 5 months until the salt is off the road. I saw same effect a few years ago when I bought a V8V end of summer and sold it early next spring for same money.

Maybe, but with early cars around £70k I don't think a new option starting at £140k is going to make a lot of difference. I like the idea of it, but it's hardly going to sell a lot of volume so I don't think it'll knock down that much. Perhaps it'll have more effect on the newest V12V's and stop then from fetching too much of a premium over time.

Also we've got to see if it's actually confirmed. Normally when one person breaks cover with new info everyone else backs it up as they've heard too. Doesn't really seem to have happened on this. I was told it wasn't happening quite recently, but I don't claim to be on an inner circle, so what do I know!

There is or was an Onyx black one for sale at £73k ( Stratstones I think ? ).

There was also a Hammerhead Silver one for sale the last couple of weeks for £73k.

The red one at Motorhub has been for sale for a few months at least, it looks over-priced in comparison with it having higher mileage and lack of AM warranty. (plus the colour is non-grey / black which no matter what people's thoughts , those colours are definitely easier to sell on).

I've heard and read a few things about the selling dealership - which doesn't inspire confidence.

Realistically though if the car passed an inspection and you could have an AM warranty put on the car , what would be a decent purchase price for the car in your opinion ?

It's true V12V do seem to have reached the bottom. I've been looking to change mine for a V12VS for some time but the right V12VS hasn't come up yet and in the months I've been looking (about a year now) I've seen V12VS prices drop but V12V hold quite firm - trouble is this makes it harder for me to change as my head says stick with what I have.

The red one that is sub 70K is the lowest I've seen but the dealer has a reputation on the forums and most people spending this sort of money on a car want the peace of mind that only a main dealer and AM warranty bring.
