Even in standard form GT86's still make me stop and look. Lovely looking cars
Each to their own and all that. Personally i have never been a fan, always thought the wheelbase looks to long and the wheels to small. The world would be boring if we all liked the same thing so looking forward to seeing what the OP creates.
Can't wait to see how this progresses and would love to try one - long wheelbase, low centre of gravity, LSD and narrow tyres, should be fun! I'll just leave this here for inspiration... (much want)

Small update coming soon. I was actually going to have a few other bits done today but delays have pushed those back to the weekend. Just need to get some pictures taken.

Would love to do that but I believe that costs about £36'000 + labour. Amazing though. I believe an LFA engine costs similar money. But one can dream. LordGrover said:
In a similar vein, have you seen Dave's car? Click.
Somewhat of an inspiration but I would like to go a little more mad with it.Edited by K14A on Thursday 5th March 23:42
To be fair, the RV8 is/was a great engine but over fifty years old! In TVR guise it can make north of 400BHP with considerable tweaking/fettling.
Too tall amongst many other things though.
Not a good fit in all respects.
Rogue motorsport's Lexus V8 looked promising though, as a race car.

We mustn't forget the idea behind this car was for the buyer to modify and make their own. It was primarily a hark back to the 'good old days' of skinny wheels small engines and just fun to drive. I think that's why there is no 'hot' version as stock, that's been done already ( insert sports car of choice). They offered this in Japan in basic form for that reason, to be modified.

I like the car for what it is, a cheap (ish) fun car made to make your own.
