I'll take 18" wheels in a more subtle color, a more subtle interior, and the standard Mercedes tri-star on the front. And I'll also take it in traditional RWD because I'm an American, and this is basically a German muscle car. We do love our burnouts!

I must say, the current CL... I mean S-class coupe is quite a handsome thing. Probably the best looking version since this:

Why do they always reduce the torque output on these German cars? Are the gearbox really that weak? I know someone like Barbus has to maintain decent levels of reliability but I thought most of the German gearboxes were heavily over engineered.

Also do Brabus not fit aftermarket parts to the boxes like the Nissan GTR guys do (see AMS Alpha packages for an example) to make the boxes stronger?

Might be something to do with the warranty arrangement. I think even with the addition of some Brabus parts you can still retain the factory, (limited), warranty.

That would make sense and remove the need for your car to be maintained at Brabus.

Wonder when we will see it in London streets doing burnouts ?

To be fair, it looks pretty grim, especially the wheels.

Ridiculously mental, but I'd take a 4 figure horsepower GTR instead.

Utterly pointless, chavy and vulgar but for some reason I'm glad stuff like this is still being done.

One thing would irk me - that grille badge is awful. Given the cost of the things, do you think Brabus could employ someone to improve on their "70s wowow font" logo - a lot!!

I still wouldn’t buy one. Much as I love Mercs I only rated this a 5. As much as I asmire the mechanics, the exteriora nd interior styling changes are a massive trun off for me on Brabus cars.
Also what’s with, ‘Brabus limits the Biturbo to 217mph because of tyre limitations’? So use the same bloody tyres as the Veyron….

but that's just it - most of the styling changes are optional and reversible, chavy front badge? Replace. Chavy interior? Upgrade or pick something more tasteful from the catalogue. Bear in mind that this is almost certainly designed to appeal to Russian, Arabic or Chinese tastes

Well if it can be retrofitted presumably you could keep the appearance pretty much as standard as you wanted. Certainly you could leave off all the tat, inside and out. Save some cash as well.

I read somewhere that MB aren't happy with people putting MB badges on cars which aren't MBs - and this isn't an MB, Brabus are a registered manufacturer in their own right???

I'd have the 3-pointed-star back on that in an instant tho
