Grrrrrr, I want one
seems quite a few do, but Mclaren seem to lack transparency in terms of their 'waiting list' would be nice to know where you are in the list if someone cancels an order/ or the UK is given a higher allocation due to demand. I guess there will be a few cars for sale when 'customers' receive them and try and sell them for a profit straight away- just depends how desperate someone is to get hold of one and what premium is worth paying.
I also assume they should hold their value pretty well in light of the limited numbers

Had given up my spot at McLondon a few weeks ago and I know one or 2 others that have done the same so some allocations should have come up.
Its personal preference isn't it. I'm looking forward to mine- 670odd bhp, weights 100kg less than a Cayman GT4. On that basis alone I think it'll be great,DeltaOne said:

Agreed, think it will be a great car personally as a 100kg lighter car over the 12c/650 alone without anything else will certainly make the car a monster and real world considerably lighter than anything else in it's class, which was always the main draw. Don't think it'll be 100kg less than a GT4 though! However in the end reckon I would get more use out of keeping the 12c as I've racked up 20+k miles on it and given values etc, have not particularly precious about using it on track. My finances are probably not quite good enough to necessarily do the same for a £300k 675 and I didn't really want to just buy the car for possession's sake to mothball and take a shot at values going up given it's a limited edition car. Far better for someone who will actually drive it to buy it, or that's my hope anyway. Plus to be very honest, what would I do with an even faster car over the 12c which in the right hands (ie not me despite my best efforts to try to get there!) is ballistically quick already....?

Odd. They were definitely accepting UK orders in early February, after car had been announced.
Perhaps you were speaking with a dealership who were talking about only their own individual order book?
I placed my order early Feb and saw it late Feb at the factory preview, was a bit underwhelmed by it also but then once I saw the multi spoke wheels, then spent an hour chatting to the lead engineer and and designer, I then understood the incredible engineering behind the skin and the looks have since grown on me as ive seen pictures in various colours and specs.Perhaps you were speaking with a dealership who were talking about only their own individual order book?
It's never going to be a massive money maker but I bought it for the same reason I bought the Speciale, I love the new engineering and tech but also to experience the finest sporting experience offered by these prestigious companies. Can't wait to go down and spec my car although its for a Feb/March delivery next year
