In light of the relative success of the similarly titled convertible thread I thought I would have an ask for a Coupè. I know of all the sites on which they come up but does anyone have intentions to sell their Coupè this spring? I really should do the sensible thing and get a Z4 Coupè but I can't get the E36 out of my mind; particularly as a tidy looking Estoril one has appeared on my cycle route to work.

e36's for sale have disappeared off the radar, owners are no doubt hoping to see a hike in prices and therefore are keeping hold of them, id love an original 3.0 car with low miles to stick away!!

It'll cost a few pennies to put right, tell him!

I've been keeping an eye out for one for ages. I'm not in a rush - it's just a case of if the right car crops up and the right price and my gut tells me to 'do it', then I will.

I'm not so sure, there's been a Dakar car with 33k miles I think up with a dealer for a while now, last time I saw the advert it hadn't sold, that was at £15k

That Dakar has been on since September so I guess gives an idea of the market. It would probably sell at £12k. Only the limited editions are at £15k plus at the moment. There does seem to be a demand but I'm not sure how big it is. Is anyone beyond M3 Cutters, E36Coupe and Pistonheads really looking?

Not yet but I bet you wont lose money if you buy one now. I also bet it wont be long before the speculators start [artificially?] driving prices up.

Yep, that's how I read it. Demand is obviously way ahead of supply but supply is so limited that it's impossible to really know where the market is for a cleanish sub 80k miler. I would be much happier if it had never occurred to me that I wanted one.

Ive Heard there is something not 100% about the dakar one. Many others sell above that price.

Just for anyone interested in how prices have changed I sold my 98 Evo coupe with 81k on the clock, FSH and as mint as they come, for £4750 four years ago!

Wish I hadn't bothered.

Useful input, thanks. Just so you know I would have given you £8k for that tomorrow, and I dare say I'm not alone.

I've seen it said on t'net, so it must be true, that Dakar & Techno are the two least popular colours which should translate to harder to sell/worth slightly less, seeing as I am looking for a convertible with either of those two colours as a preference, I can't say I've seen any price difference between any colours, maybe too small an amount of cars for sale to be able to be so picky.

eek They're my two favourites! My mate's is Fern/Boston green (can't remember which was used on 98 model Evos) with extended modena leather, is quite cool to see an old 3 series with tan leather all over the door cards and everything!

If you like dark green you would suit an e36 m3 GT - they only came in dark green but so few left.

Mine is going up for sale very soon. A 3.0 Avus Blue Coupe. Just started writing the advert tonight, it's only done 650miles in the last year so time for a change
