Heel n toe pedals for E36?
Discussion
Hi guys
I'm getting my E36 track car next week and, in true PH style, wondering what I can do to modify it already.
The main gripe I have with my past BMWs (E46 and now Z4) is that the pedals are too far apart to easily heel 'n toe. I used to enjoy that I could wear any shoes when driving but for pressing on I find there is waaay too much space between the brake and throttle.
I'm guessing the E36 will be basically the same as the E46 - I wondered if anyone had any suggestions - I know you can get aftermarket pedal covers for the beemers, are any bigger to help HNT?
Thanks!

Ive never had an issue in either E36 or E46, Ive always found them well spaced. Have you tried altering your technique slightly?
Alternatively there are some pedals covers for Porsche's for this aplication so I imagine they're avaliable for BM's, if not it wouldnt be hard to fashion something if you really needed it.
A quick example.

That's cool to know. I believe the E36 is throttle cable too which I much prefer over drive-by-wire (I find two thirds of the pedal travel in my BMWs seems redundant)
I find this too, I much prefer the feel of a throttle by cable, it can help on a drive-by-wire car to reset the sensitivity of the throttle. My little 325Ti seems to learn if Ive been in traffic for ages and becomes sluggish, a quick reset and its better, not perfect but better.Edited by mark.c on Thursday 26th February 16:39
