It would help if you understood what classism meant;

prejudice against people belonging to a particular social class.

That would include higher classes (you apparently) prejudice against lower classes (Audi drivers apparently)

For the record I'm not really an Audi fan as such, but I like the R8 and I think Audis are well engineered cars, Lamborghini quality has certainly improved since being taken over.
Nothing that I said displayed any class prejudice whatsoever. You read it, Pete. Anyway, no harm done.

I agree with your last para (well, kinda - it depends what you mean by 'engineered'; I would say 'well put together').

Are people really suggesting Audis are not well engineered as well as well made?

They most certainly are , And R8s are especially sophisticated. All aluminium hi tech chassis with world class power plants and seriously well sorted handling.

You may not like their looks, you may think drivers of A4 TDis are cocks but its plain ridiculous to dismiss them as world class performance cars in the face of overwhelming evidence because of prejudice.

I didn't say any such thing about the R8! It's an awesome car.

LOL IMA.

PH have posted the R8 pricing versus the Porsche Turbos.

'the entry level 540hp V10 R8 starts at £119,500 which, by one of those weird twists of fate, is just over a £1,000 less than a 520hp Porsche 911 Turbo... The 610hp R8 Plus starts at £137,500, a 911 Turbo S ... £142,120.'

Original pre-2015 prices: R8 V8 from £93,735; R8 V10 plus from £126,835. 997 Turbo: £107k ish and 997 Turbo S - £123,263.

Looks like a slightly lighter version of Porsche Fashion Grey.

definitely in GT3 racing and the new R8 GT3 at Geneva looks EPIC ,the 911 GT3 cup has in my opinion become outclassed by the mid engined bruisers not to mention the GT Mercs
