3rd party insurers have sent out their assessor, agreed a value etc.

When do I return the hire car I'm in?

Its through an accident management company.

Will they ring to arrange collection?

Why don't you ask them?

Well, yeah.

I was going to when they're open. I just assumed someone on here may know!

From memory, when my wifes car was written off it was three days after receipt of the check from the insurers. We were told this was so that you had cleared funds for your next vehicle...BUT..... get them to confirm via email/letter to cover yourself. I would recommend being proactive in keeping them up to date.

I thought it was after the cash cleared, but wanted to check that it wasn't just me that thought it. hehe

Yeah, I'm going to ring them when they're next open. See what they say.

7 days from receipt of the cheque at the latest. Note receipt, not cleared, not banked, received.

All the rules are here at 4.14

that doesn't happen very often, most payments will be made by transfer so will end up with 100 posts about something that will happen once a year in the whole of the country,

Yeah blimey, we've never ever ever come across CHOs trying that on. Did the dog eat your homework often too, as you're full of amazingly original ideas.
