If I had a £1 for every time I'd seen this, I'd have £4 - which is still horrifying! Every one was a lorry driver too...

Filtering a motorcycle through heavy traffic on a motorway or DC every day gives a good insight into this kind of thing. I've seen all sorts - porno mags, novels, hand held tvs, laptops, tablets, sewing/knitting, etc. Frightening really. And if you stop and stare at these people, most just carry on with what they were doing, some tell you to fk off and become aggressive, a minority will stop it, probably until you're five yards away.

Bet the porno mag was a slow overtake

I caught up with a car the other day, it was going a bit slow. I could see the driver was leaning to one. I thought it was a bit odd. On overtaking I could see she had to lean to one side to be able to see past her sat nav which was on the windscreen directly in front of her face.

Not quite the same but I saw a taxi driver with an iPad on a suction mount in the middle of his windscreen. How he could possibly see properly is anyone's guess, especially as he had all the other paraphernalia like his phone and meter cluttering the place as well.

I had to avoid a lorry yesterday which veered into my lane. The driver was quite clearly texting.

It's hardly a full on emergency?

+1

When the driver's window is open I'm so tempted to reach and snatch the newspaper out of their hands.

Saw a man reading a broadsheet newspaper resting on his wheel as he drove along, and yet other people get a driving without due care and attention conviction for eating an apple.

I was on the A34 bypass and there was a sheddy old Punto weaving all over the road, I looked across and the young girl driving was messing with her phone, at this point she was wandering into my lane so I blew my horn which woke her up and she gave me the bird ! cheeky cow, that is what the horn is for ffs, she then resumed her game of Angry Bird Crush or whatever and I pulled in front, I looked back, still at it so I lit my brake lights up without actually braking much, I watched and it was a good few seconds before she saw them and braked herself.

They cant seem to accept that you cant do anything else when driving, they lose the freedom a car brings but dont feel inclined to treat it at all seriously, then when their stupidity causes an accident they start wailing "poor me, why did this happen", a girl at work managed to pilot her car, upside down through a wooded area at the side of the Chester Road because she was tanking on at 70 or so, in the wet, on bald tyres, she then expects sympathy.

A parent of one of the kids friends had an RR Sport and he proudly told me he had managed to get the DVD player to work whilst moving, amazing how people can do some fairly technical, clever stuff to achieve something so daft.

Unbelievable, indeed! What sort of plonker puts the iPad behind the steering wheel?

Everyone knows it is so much easier to put it on top of the steering wheel with this handy mounting kit!

A friend of mine works in a police call centre. When we witnessed a dangerous driver on the M25 he advised us to call the non emergency (112 I think) as the local police would be notified to look out for the car in question.
