DBS or Vanquish 2
Discussion
Hi
As you may know I have been after a DBS and I nearly got a Carbon Black version but I was beaten to it by 12 hrs. Since then I have been looking at a couple of other DBS's including a couple of Ultimate version's. But my circumstances have now changed and I may be able to afford a Vanquish 2
What do people think of them in comparison to a DBS?

I do not have owners knowledge of the Vanquish 2, but if you are talking 'pre-owned', I can remember a matter that was raised on this forum. It may be something that you will want to investigate further.
The difficulty involved an early production car, so if there was something wrong, hopefully it was quickly corrected.
I am hazy about what the complaint was, but it might have been something to do with the appearance of the carbon fibre weave. The owner was so cross, he set up a dedicated website, to see if other owners' cars were also affected.
Depends on your criteria as I think there are significant differences in reasons for purchases - both stunning cars.
Especially if you want manual - it has to be a DBS. Has the Bond connection also and is a stunning car. If you are single, the DBS also appears to have qualities attracting 'attention' according to other forum members
A Vanq 2, 8 speed would be my choice...there are new and pre owned on the market now...I just need to work out the man maths...
As always the advice is...drive them thoroughly to see what suits you.
Happy hunting!!

I have a V8 Vantage. It gets plenty of attention... from men. Should I have got a DBS?
It won't help with chicks buddy. I've got both. The other day I went out in one, then the other.
I checked in the mirror both times and was just as fkin ugly in the V8 as I was in the DBS.

I like the bond connection with the DBS too, personally I think it is better looking than a vanq and it would be my choice if I was upgrading. As for attracting attention if you like car geeks and school boys any aston will do...... Especially if you want manual - it has to be a DBS. Has the Bond connection also and is a stunning car. I went through a similar thought process a few months ago. I ended up deciding on vanquish. Mostly because (to me) the Vanq looks much fresher and newer with its lights and general styling. I saw the two side by side at stratstone and the vanquish ages the Dbs IMHO. Both are beautiful in their own right and the price difference would get you a very nice daily driver.

If you aren't bothered about having a manual then Vanquish all day,(although that seat stitching is pretty naff ).As you may know I have been after a DBS and I nearly got a Carbon Black version but I was beaten to it by 12 hrs.
