Ok so the general view of my local Berkshire lot seems to be to go for shadow chrome. I'm totally 50/50, hence might as well see what the thoughts are here as well!

Car is a light blue (with mild spectraflair). Wheels are getting refurbed in the next couple of weeks and whilst I thought I was 100% going for normal deep metallic silver, the whole shadow chrome thing has me wondering if it would suit my car. I do like it on darker colour cars, but what's the general thoughts?

And am I right in that the inner part of the rim will be black and just the silver/chrome stuff on the face of it?
This probably would put me off as I quite like the open nature of the wheel and when they're clean the inner sides still make them stand out.

Here's a quick photoshop..

Hmm, the do look pretty good!

Anyone know if the OEM finish was powdercoat or painted? Does that even make any difference to the finish so long as they're lacquered afterwards?

I believe that the standard ones are finished in Sparkle Silver paint, rather than a powedercoat so I wouldn't want to lose the brightness from them or the metallic flake!
