Having got fed up with my 10yr daughter being on my laptop all the time I got her a laptop. Its a Lenovo laptop but she cannot access google on it. If whe tries it says it is not available, and givn half a chance goes to Bing instead. Her account is protected by Microsoft Family Safety and the computer is using McAffee anti-virus.
On her Lenovo Mcaffee site adviser states that google is an unsafe site.

On my Dell laptop she can access google even though the account is still protected by Microsoft family safety and Mcaffee so it appears to be something with the fact it is a LeNovo and how they set up windows.

Using my account on her laptop I cannot access google either.

So what setting have I not changed!

Try adding a specific rule to allow access to Google?

Although it probably isn't the cause of the issue you're talking about (but might be if Google are denying the Superfish root cert from accessing their infrastructure) - you did say the magic word "Lenovo", so I'd strongly suggest following out the instructions on this site before you do much of anything else with the laptop.

Did you, by any chance, buy a cheap laptop with "Windows 8.1 with Bing"?
