Apologies if anyone was watching this one but I thought it might be of interest to folks here.

"Essex" 3.1 Ebay Link

Obviously not an Essex so easy to miss. Anyone know anything about engines such as this?

Probably a standard 2.9 Gary - if they can't get the type of engine right...

Specialised engines did a 3.1 conversion - slight overbore and stroked.

I can't imagine plod doing it...

Hi All
I think Swaymar did a 3.2 conversion including stroker crank, I have 3.4 Essex ( South African block) built for me by Neil Brown many years ago, has a Porsche 911 gear box adaptor plate VW race flywheel and Porsche clutch still in the shed. Just looking for a project to fit it in, A 3000m?.

Wouldn't have been at all surprised if you'd acquired it! Bit much for an unknown thing.
