As promised here is the dyno graph for my 5.0L rover v8 engined mgb with TA heads and jenvey throttle bodies.
Thanks to Lloyds specialist developments in Warminster who converted from carb to canems ECU 18 months ago and for sorting out the various problems.
The engine is now running sweet and pulls cleanly from 35mph in 4th gear, Something I never expected with the mechanical 248 cam. First proper test is a track day on 10th March at Silverstone.

Cheers

Love this car. Had my Chimaera converted to CANEMS at Lloyds last year & was talking to them about you & the MG. Hope to see you running rings around everything at Combe sometime this year again. thumbup

Wow that is a really impressive result. What is the spec of the rest of the engine?

I bet it sounds great on those Jenvey throttle bodies.

I am seriously impressed by this! Amazing figures from an NA RV8 and the fact it is still nice to drive at slow speed.

Do you have any video footage of the car, I bet those Jenveys sound epic.

Interesting to see that those TA heads are still around the 400bhp mark.
I know of a couple of reace engines that have tried these. Firstly they pulled 440bhp from a 5L, but it turned out there were a "development" set. the later ones wouldnt flow enough and so they topped out at 400 which is the same as a full set of BV Rover heads.

Thats still great numbers on a road engine though. Right up there with full race. The EW pump will be giving you 10bhp or so (we dont use them on our race engines...too risky) which has helped, but we hit 13:1 to get 400+.

Well done. Rob does know his stuff though. biggrin
