Ive just purchased a new 20t motor and one of these controllers but it does not make it clear if the existing 4 x AA battery pack in the car needs to be removed as im assuming it does. Does anyone know for sure?
Its in an old tamiya wild one with an upgraded nimh 7.2 volt main battery.
Thanks in advance.

The only electrics in the car you need is the 7.2 battery and the speedo.

As said the ESC will provide the power to the receiver, you don't need the AA's.
