Some say that they still do, in Pakistan. smile

I should say that, although I love bull terriers (George, our old Staff, died more than 20 years ago, but is still much missed), I am one of those who believes that the influence of dog shows has not been entirely beneficial. I have a hard time finding any breed that looks better (to me) now than it did when it was first registered by the KC.

^agreed!

-do love the current nose, though - just perfect for kisses!

2thumbs, the wet food we've just moved ours off was the trays of wainwrights! Coincidence!
They do do a grain-free dry food, but, to be honest, I thought the quality of the trays had deteriorated a bit. I reckon they've changed the recipe on the sly, as its recently been causing both of them a bit of 'blockage'.

Ella will eat literally *anything*. I've yet to find something she'll turn her nose up at!
You watch, she'll start doing it with this dry food now laugh

All of the above! We just lost both of our Bullies last year but there will be more, we couldn't have another breed.
They are lazy AND active, aggressive AND gentle, incredibly stupid AND surprisingly clever/crafty, good with some animals AND want to kill others!
Bernard only turned left on walks, if he could raise himself from bed in the first place, but Madge would walk all day long. Interestingly we were told all those years ago, to 'get a bh as your first Bully' as she'd be easier to handle. Complete opposite, Bernard was much easier than Madge.
Both used to get Bully Rush and charge around the furniture trashing everything in their path, both used to Weed Walk under trees, bushes and women's skirts! Both had a self destruct mode. Both did a lot of damage to our house and cars. Both looked great dressed up!

Here are a few piccies.

Sorry to hear that you lost your bullies Bernhund they looked a lovely pair.
I've heard all sorts of odd Bully behavior but only turning left is the most amusing of all! smile

Thank you. They were very entertaining these two, and it has left a huge chasm in our lives. Especially as they died just 3 months apart.
As for turning left, he really did do that. As soon as you reached a corner he would absolutely refuse to go right without actually being dragged! Sometimes I'd have to carry him home too. I'm sure drivers would think my dog had been run over, when he was just an idle little st!laugh

They have the biggest of characters don't they, they must have left a huge hole when the passed frown
My Bully often refuses to walk on gravel or tarmac. I have had many comments from people wondering why I am carrying Her. She will turn left though thankfully!

laugh Mine were fine on gravel, but there was on patch of grass in our village where Bernard refused to tread, but then it was to his right and not on a direct line to our front door. Most of the time at that spot, he wanted to be smack bang in the centre of the road. As I said earlier..this breed has a built in death wish!

Berhund frownfrown Devestating to lose them both within such a short space of time.

Ours doesn't like to walk on gravel/loose ground.

She sometimes doesn't even like walking on pavements. laugh

cant believe ive missed this thread!

we've got a gorgeous Miniature EBT by the name of Lou.

15 months old and batst mental.

i'll get pics up later but i can offer some advice. it took us a year to find our breeder and spent lots of time researching. my sister is a vet so had her guidance but they are a massively understood breed.

That pic of the demolished bed! We had that so many times...and then we'd chase the guilty party around the garden to pull the remains out of his or her backside!!!vomit

That was a brand new bed that morning. We went out for lunch and came home to that. It's easier and cheaper to buy her a "value" double duvet every week now.

Note the kitchen Lino too - ripped to pieces (2 layers). I've tiled the floor now. smile

What a lovely looking bully pidsy smile

We were lucky with ours, she never chewed a thing and still doesn't. She will demolish all toys in minutes though.

Pretty much every piece of soft fabric (clothes just about excluded) - but including sofa cushions, towels, throws, rugs... has had just one corne gently removed, courtesy of Her Majesty.

-she's grown out of it now (this past year! -took over three years!) so thankfully can start to replace everything. Dozy mare.

Breed is generally quite bad for 'grazing' - some with more tenacity than others. 2thumbs, you got lucky! wink

Bernard ate gearsticks, steering wheels, seat belts, carpets, doors, shoes, beds, bedding, coats, computer game joysticks, furniture knobs, coke cans, plants, & on & on! If you look closely on my pictures on this thread, you'll see how many feathers there are in two pillows!

I'm forgetting a couple of things, Frankie chews the corners of the pillows when she is, erm, getting amorous with them! Strange behaviour for a female dog!

She also chewed the parcel shelf supports in our old car, I never noticed until I attempted to re fit the shelf when I sold it.

So not totally unscathed smile
