Conti GT power boot closure

Thanks in advance for any help...hoping it's a quick issue to fix.

My 2009 Conti GT has the close boot button...power works fine but now (after only using it perhaps three times) it always reopens (also under power). The boot is empty, i've wiped around the lid and the base.

I could take it back to the dealer but it's a fair old trek if it's a well known and easily sorted matter.

Any ideas?

From memory (detailed reset procedure in owner's manual) you press the bentley badge as the boot is just about to "power close" and let it do its thing. Worked for me.

Mine did the same, dealer found opening mechanism sticking/too stiff so soaked in some solution for couple of hours to free up. Works fine know.
