I have a bit of a dilemma here and wondered what the general consensus was.

I have dashcam footage from Saturday showing the driver of a Bentley Continental GT crossing the hatchings and cutting up a Range Rover whilst coming off the A3 northbound at Cobham.

Now I could put it on youtube and alert the police to the footage, but not sure whether I should or not.

I guess, ask yourself, is his normal attitude to drive like this, and did he put anyone on danger...

When I first got my dashcam I recorded loads of infractions, illegal moves and downright dangerous driving by other drivers. My instinct was to report every one of them. But it was too much of a faff to remove the SD card, transfer and remember to replace the card back into the dashcam. The only time I have handed over footage is to the Police where a motorcyclist drove into the side of a campervan and claimed it was the campervan drivers fault!

Well he did cut a few people up, and judging from the standard of driving I saw in my rear view mirror, I would say it was a fairly normal manouvre for him...

Isn't there a website in England that allows you to upload such footage and report the driver?

I think these guys like to do that.

I've only uploaded a few videos to you tube when I started using my phone as a dash cam...then realised I was becoming "one of them" yikes

Don't think he liked the fact I had left him for dead coming up the slip road from the M25. I do have the dashcam footage of his manoeuvre and am tempted to forward it to the police...
You'd better edit out the bit where you were racing...

They seem to charge for their services

That's the thing, do I want to become one of "them"?

I think unless it was seriously dangerous or an accident I'd not bother.

TBH I consider this one of the most dangerous moves, and IIRC carries a 6 point licence bonus to indicate the severity.

Contact @surreyroadcops on Twitter, they can have a look at it for you. Remember they have 14 days from tge day of offence to NIP the driver if it's that bad.

Unlisted at the mo. Better quality available, youtube downgraded it.

I know that slip road very well. When you come off the M25 and join the A3 to go to Cobham it's only about ⅔ mile so what people do is hoof it onto the DC and get up to 70 before they realise that they've run out of road and need to make sharp exit like the Bentley GT has done, I've seen it happen dozens of times. On the other hand the GT driver could be just a complete bellend.

I'm defending neither by the way.

So the real story is "I was racing a guy in a Range Rover and probably cut him up quite badly whilst blasting off. He took offence and chased after me. I'm now too scared to leave my house in case he's out there somewhere, so I want to tell the police about his minor infraction, but need the approval of online people that I've never met."

Closer to the truth?

Come on, yes it was a daft move, but surely there are more important things to do then reporting that, that kind of driving is common place really. I was imaging far worse from your description.

No. Did you even watch it? You really do come across as a bit of a muppet. I had nothing to do with the RR and only noticed the Bentley as I was manoeuvring t come off the a3.

...blooming 'eck, as if speed cameras, CCTV etc wasn't enough we have to live in a world where any transgression is recorded and dumped on the web for everyone to see Forever...yep you are 'one of them'. I think you should get back to a bit of curtain twitching just in case someone drops some litter

The fact he is potentially a Chelsea player may be clouding my judgement on this...

I have seen plenty of transgressions since I got the dashcam, but this was the first one that made me think of reporting someone due to the nature of the manoeuvre.
