645 gear lever problem

Has anybody had a problem getting there 645ci into the park mode
On there auto, I have to push lever really hard
To get park light to come on and take key out of ignition ?

Yes, I had a problem last year.
I am not mechanically minded but decided to have a look in the area of the gearstick -auto.
I pulled up the trim and the gaiter and looked inside at the levers.
Luckily I saw a 50p piece jammed in the mechanism and managed to remove it. All sorted.
As I used to keep loose change in the ashtray the 50p must have strayed from there - quite how I don't know but it was an easy problem to sort. I hope yours is this simple.
