Experienced European Trackdayers: what do you recommend I do with my leathers, helmet and boots? Pack in with the bike on the stillage or take as checked in luggage (helmet as hand luggage?)
Goin with NL if that makes a difference.
Thanks in adv

It absolutely bounced it down at Blyton Park in Lincolnshire today. Riding an NC30 on Bridgestone BT090 tyres it was actually surprisingly communicative as to how much grip there was, and when it was going to run out.....right up until then point it ran out.
To be fair the track had been drying, then it got very wet again very quickly. I was quite happy with this particular corner....and ran out of talent and grip ending up under the bike for a while.
Still, ibuprofen is cheaper than fairing panels, and it seems that I managed to take most of the damage rather than the bike.
Some enterprising and helpful chaps from Doncaster helped get the snapped gear lever repaired enough to go back out for a last hurrah, and then ride home - cheers gents!

In all seriousness, there was a photographer there but his shots are all going up online and aren't there yet. I'll post them up as soon as they are.

I'm at Oulton on Weds, weather may be Ok and then Donny the following Tues, no idea on weather there. That's probably it for me this year then and off to Cyprus for the winter I think.
I might come over to say hello / goodbye before your winter migration. Unless you would like to pop in for tea and cake on your way home (only 4 miles in the wrong direction).Anyone else at Oulton tomorrow?

I must admit, I do take waking up in the morning for granted. No doubt that will change as I get closer to your age Yoda400 said:

No danger of peg scraping (by me anyway) given the conditions, I was initially cornering sat on the bike, but that seemed to unsettle the rear and so I took to hanging off to give the tyres a fighting chance.
I've been thinking about the off, and I'm pretty sure that I ran out of grip at the front end hence the lucky landing of the bike on me.....

Cheers,

Thinking of booking my first track day for October in Jerez.
Just trying to sort out if I'm free that day/my mate who wants to come can come also etc... but already feeling excited.
I've got my first Euro day at Valencia in October. I have no idea how any of it works but I'm starting to get excited already as well. Just trying to sort out if I'm free that day/my mate who wants to come can come also etc... but already feeling excited.
