I'm seriously contemplating one of these as my next road bike.

Does anyone one on here own one?

The only thing that's holding me back is that rear mech.
It looks seriously ugly!!

Given the crankset size 52/36 would it be easy to swap it out to a short or medium cage version?

Any feedback from owners would be appreciated before I head off to the LBS ( its a 60 mile round trip )

Nice bikes, I nearly bought one, speaking to a guy in my club who really rates his

I wouldn't worry about a bike based on the look of the rear mech

I would be surprised if it had a long cage on a std double, what cassette is it running, you should be ok on a medium or short cage up to 28 on the back

There is a review of the disk version in this months Cyclist magazine, that version doesn't get that good a review based primarily on the very heavy OEM wheels that it comes with. The review does state that he bought a rim brake version with Di2 himself previously (last year) so it appears that the non - disk version is good.

I think it's just me but in my eyes this rear mech set up looks so much better:

Perhaps I should just buy the damn thing!! ( if it rides ok )

Does indeed look like a long cage mech but the cassette is only 11-28 so a short/med cage should be fine? odd.

Just received this from Focus:

We have at the CAYO 2.0 2015 standard the medium cage length of the rear derailleur (Shimano Ultegra Di2 RD6870). But unfortunately, at the photo sample was istalled the long cage. Probably that led to the misunderstanding.

That clears it up I think.

Would rather stretch the budget a touch and get one of these if it were me:

My wife has a Focus Cayo. It's a 2014 Evo 1 and she loves it. Seems to be well made and not too heavy. She junked the wheels, but otherwise as it left the shop. Oh, she changed the stem since the pic to a 17 degree to help slam the front.

I have a 2013 Evo 6 and think it's class. Agreed the wheels are upgradable (and my bike is at least 4 steps under where you're looking, but has same wheels)..

My only negative to the one you;re looking at is that it's black, red and white. God knows why the cycling world is so black, red and white. I mean, would a splash of green hurt anyone?

Check the chain length when you pick it up, friend of ours who was riding a brand new Cayo couldn't got big ring to big ring as the bike was supplied with 3 links missing!

Well that is a separate issue, I did almost caveat my statement!

Semi compact are now designed for it to an extent, I will put my hands up to having crossed the chain before.

Thats pretty much standard text for most bike mag reviews. 'Good bike, but it would benefit from a wheel upgrade'.
