Evening all. My company has just provided 2 of us with the above devices. It has 3 modes, City CityMax and Motorway & the manual doesn't explain what they mean. Motorway sounds self explanatory, but does it also cover A roads & dual carriageways? What's the difference between City & CityMax? Could anyone shed any light on this please? Do I really need to switch modes in different driving environments? Also, I've read that these devices are affected by heated windscreens? My vehicle has one, so is it even worth using the unit?

Their customer support are supposed to be coming back to me, but I thought it might be quicker round these parts...

Many thanks in advance.

Err, the manual that doesn't explain the difference between a City a CityMax and a Motorway you mean? So far as I can see it only tells me what bands will be audible when I make the selection, not what roads determine the selection. Hence me asking the question. Happy to be proven blind or stupid but so far as I can see, the manual offers nothing in that respect...

That's what the difference is - the bands and when it reports them. The manual does explain it - just not in the way you're expecting it.
