Despite handing over my deposit in October 2013 at the OPC Wales and being told regularly that I was number one, I have today been informed that I am fifth on the list and will therefore not be receiving my promised car.

Cant help but feel a little cheated to say the least.

Looking now to purchase a build slot from anyone looking to sell at a premium.

Obviously your moniker doesn't live up to expectations? wink

Seriously though, Porsche (dealers) seem to be fking people around, left, right and centre.

If this is some form of "halo product, marketing genius", it would be lost on me, I'm afraid?

Sorry to hear this. You are not alone in this treatment and I hope you get a car eventually.

A common theme on here these days....

I wish I could pick and choose to whom I sell my wares,

Nice work if you can get it...

Sorry to hear that matey.

Unfortunatly you wont be the last person to post this over the next few days I am quite sure, as it has already happened to rather a lot of GT4 LOI holders too.

With even less GT3RS in production, a much longer (1yr delayed) wait meaning even more customers accumulated, and GT3 prices going through the roof meaning that GT3RS is nailed on to make money on the day of delivery, I think it means there are going to be an awful lot of people in your situation. frown

Only one Porsche centre in Wales?

Shocked by this the dealer principle is a very honest and fair man and a credit to the brand.

I'm sure they are being squeezed by all angles.

not ever tried, but can you actually just order a new model ferrari and get it in a reasonable timeframe. judging by what the US guys posts you have to lose a gazillion on used stock they cant shift first or wait for a long long time for your car and you are not even allowed to order at a dealer not local to you. sounds worse than porsche, at least they will happily sell you most of the 911 range. try ordering a specialeA or similar at ferrari.

Wish i was in the position to buy one in the first place but i'm far from it, but if i was and the same thing happen to me i would say stuff Porsche and go buy something else and would certainly not pay a premium just to get one, this i think is what makes prices go silly with buyers willing to pay more than what the car cost new.

It's fraud the cars are going to their pals as they are essentially 50k cheques. They kept you money under false pretensions. Welcome to porsche gb

Spend the money on an older Porsche or Ferrari keeping the £££ out of the dealer networks!

Simply inflating the brand value. Why sell x cars at £70k when you could sell x cars at £140k for the same manufacturing cost. Porsche want to move the brand away from BMW/Audi/Merc and more towards Ferrari/Lambo/McLaren end of the market.

Sorry to hear that, you are joining a very long list of people who have been bent over by Porsche recently on LOI and car allocations, very very poor form from Porsche. Most of us just want the car to enjoy and run, not as an investment, not to polish in the garage every Sunday, it will soon end up like Ferrari whereby you only see these things at car shows and country pubs on sunny weekends! I want to see RS's and GT4's etc at track days etc.

I can assure you that I for one will be hooning mine around the track at every opportunity as I do with all my cars (while maintaining them way above required standards may I add!). I work bloody hard to earn my money and I do it so I can enjoy these cars to the max and not to buy them and profit at a later date (although of course it's nice when that happens). I'd like to think there are more than a few like me out there with same mentality.

Good to hear that Sir, you are an Oak. I look forward to bumping into you and hopefully many others at the track over the next couple of years so I can perve at your ironwork.

Just leaving for Geneva (thank you Bentley).

Intending to ensure the Porsche representatives are aware of my discontent.

My OPC will be top of the list of discussions.
