Listed an outboard motor for sale recently, buy-it-now with best offer.

Received a best offer yesterday morning but late last night and this morning the buyer has basically shown himself to be the marine equivalent of a tyre kicker.

Do I decline his offer and carry on as normal or accept his offer and when he doesn't pay inform ebay so that he receives a non paid item strike?

fking hate these time wasters!!!!

You dont have to accept his offer, if you dont like the look of it, just decline it and move on

You choose who you sell to.
I found that following my gut feeling usually worked and saved lots of issues later.

Or ask for cash on collection. You're hardly going to post an outboard motor.

As said, it's an offer. If you don't like it, reject it. If you don't want to deal with him at any price, you can block him from bidding.

Either accept the offer, or block the bidder then reject it! Nowt stopping him hitting the BIN once you reject it...

As said above, if sure buyer will be a pain, decline offer then put on block list. Every thing I sell is on best offer, buyers can be awkward and if their offer is refused just buy it now and not pay. It then takes 6 days to get fees back and re list. You only get 3 chances to offer.
