Guys, I'm having a shocker with setting the date on my Datejust! it always seems to be a day behind, and no matter what time of the day I put the date forward, then next morning it's still the same date, then it flicks forward at lunchtime! Is there a technique that I'm not aware of to sync it perfectly to the correct 12'o'clock? Help! It's driving me mad!

I use the quick set function to wind it up to a couple days before so today I'd wind it on till 3rd. Then wind it on through the hours until I reached today's date. That way I know it's AM/PM.

Don't set the date on a quick set between 1300hrs and 16oohrs.
I don't know where I read it but I assumed it was something like between 10 and 2. Why 1 and 4?

Hard not to sound offensive here but... if you couldn't work that out yourself, should you even be out in public without assistance?

It reminds me of this; to just kept changing it every day, never working out why it didn't work...

Depending on the movement the date change mech is active during those hours, so in simple terms you manually changing it, is a bit like changing gear without the clutch, it won't instantly break but it will eventually.
I guess you mean don't set the date between 01:00 and 04:00? Setting it during the afternoon won't cause any issues.

I agree. It sounds completely ridiculous in hindsight... I can only apologise for my complete stupidity!
