NW KREW '15 ride outs, banter and man love from Loon
Discussion
I'm out Sunday morning, but on a slow one with the wife as pillion and a mate who currently likes traffic as it "makes it interesting". Clearly he hasn't yet experienced all that biking is about, that feeling of freedom you get when you ride along a nice twisty road, in great weather, with great landscape all around, and no traffic about...
I know different people like different things, but he's not really been anywhere interesting on his bike yet so I aim to point a couple of roads out to him.

Very nice ride out today, more of a bimble really, but I got to show my wife and my mate some of the very good roads we took last time out.
I'm glad we got back when we did though, it's absolutely chucking it down in Harrogate now, I hope noone is caught out in it!
Edited because I can't spell!

I fking was. Thought I'd nip out for a few hours, but nowhere distant. On the way back I could see the storm clouds welling up and was just praying that I'd miss them. No such luck. Bizarrely I was still overtaking cars and was by far the fastest thing out there, despite riding on Supercorsas. Just shows how st car drivers really are in general.
Its typical, yesterday after a wet start was glorious so I went out at midday for a ride around the lakes to visit a few folks, today it was forecast dry and is now pissing it down.
Re cars, 99.9% of them are driven by people who have no interest in driving at all, the performance of a modern bike renders them completely insignificant 99.99% of the time, wet or dry, even on supercorsa's

No idea what tyres I was on , but they were fairly ste ( in fact, probs. OEM BT016s, I think....'cos I did the pressures in them, thinking about it.....).
They were on a Demo . Yamaha MT-09.
They ( the Yamaha) are very soft. Wheelies( my version) well.....and very soft , in fact soggy.
I won't be buying one ....quite good fun for about 15 mins, then very soggy.
Did I mention they were soggy ?
Thanks for showing me back to the shop Loon, sorry we got saturated and you had to watch me drive off in my motor, whilst you had to head out into it again - ste !!!
Glad I made you chuckle trying to make it go round bends .....!

No I doubt he is, I've ridden with him twice in the rain in god knows how many years and he is painfully slow, I reckon I'd have him in my van in the rain even, on continentals finest all weather tyres.Jazoli said:

Of course I'm slow in the rain, my Sidi's keep slipping while I'm pushing the bike round the corner. Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
