Supplementary to the question regarding the idle air valve I've noticed that recently (past week) that on starting the engine runs on only four cylinders (like having a stuck choke on one carburetter).

I caught it again last night so shut the engine off immediately and decided to remove and check the spark plugs; the RH bank were wet with petrol while the LH bank were dry.

Both banks show lean running which ties in with the engine returning to normal behaviour a short while after starting (i.e. drive about 500 metres at low rpm in high gear and all eight start running).

The injectors are fired LH bank / RH bank - could the fault lie here?

The "tune resistor" is 470 Ohm (UK non-cat).
Lambda sensor connectors are tied unused up to the EFi harness bundle at the back of the block .

Next steps to take:
1 Remove ECU and check connector for loose or corroded contacts
2 "tune resistor" present and correct resistance at ECU
3 resistance of each bank of injectors
4 resistance to Lambda sensors (although given the defined "tune resistor" I suspect any signal here would be ignored.

Any suggestions as to other places to look?
