Now, I've been after something like this for a while.
Is there a guide for me to use to avoid anything too disastrous if I go and see it. It looks cheap?

Plenty of guides on the net. Do a search. Now, I've been after something like this for a while.

I'd start with the consumables. IE brakes and tyres. They can go through both at alarming rate. Go prepared with the prices for both so you can haggle and factor in immediate replacements if required. Bushes can go quickly too.
Air Suspension. The compressors fail along with the airbgas, so check it rises and falls as it should.
Electrics. Check everything and then when you've checked them all, check them again. Chances are, some of it won't work.
Like all Land Rovers, they leak.I think they leak round the rear lights somehwere.
People will bang on about service history. What does stamps in a book tell you??? I like to see receipts for everything. Chances are, its probably had some major work done and you want to see what that is.
Gearbox. Known to be weak and re-build is north of £1500. I'm afraid I don't know what the warning signs are. Gearbox oil change is pricey too.
I'm sure there are other things, but that is all I can think of now.
