Las Vegas...........again (sorry)

So I'm getting married in Vegas in August and I'm wondering what to do after the ceremony.

Now I've been to Vegas before on several occasions and know what to expect, however I'm stuck on what to do after our wedding (apart from the obvious, that will be later)

Our friends who will witness our wedding are in their 60's but we'd love for them to be part of the day after the wedding. I've looked at helicopter flights and am really tempted to book a champagne picnic in the Grand Canyon but it's $2000 for 4 people and I'm not sure considering their age it will be fun for them. A fancy meal could be done at a fraction of the cost but it's a bit boring. A show? maybe.

So over to the PH massive to solve my problem.

Canyon helicopter trip is fantastic but as you say, a bit pricey. Personally I think it's worth every penny, people will tell you it's not the real 'Canyon' but still an amazing experience.
Took the girlfriend last year and she was blown away by it, didn't stop smiling from start to finish. Despite her unease about the helicopter.
As for a meal being a fraction of the cost, don't bet on it. As a surprise, I managed to blag a terrace table at Prime (sent them a mail a couple of months beforehand) and without going silly, that cost a little under $600 with tips.
That was worth every penny as well, you could rack up a serious bill if you were celebrating a special occasion though. Only do it once after all...

We got married in Vegas nearly 9 yrs ago, we had 12 guests. We took everyone to a show afterwards -Mama Mia, and then for a meal at MIX. We also fitted in canapes and drinks at MIX on the 63rd floor straight after the ceremony and we timed it to see the lights of Vegas coming on.
I can thoroughly recommend Mandalay bay and Delano hotel, was fairly pricy but if friends and relatives come all that way for you, we felt it was the least we could do!

The Grand Canyon chopper trip with picnic landing and coming back to the city lights is worth every penny so book the one in the afternoon if you can. I almost didnt do it as I 'can' be a bit grippy which would have been a big blunder. I work in the oil industry and I know the price of hiring a helicopter and on balance its good value for money really.
