Hi all

a mate of mine is trying to get people interested in monthly a bacon and coffee morning (his blurb from faceache is below). Given that the Museum of Power is quite a funky place anyway I thought I'd get the word out there and see if people might be interested

Ok fresh up and what I hope to be a brilliant meet for the Essex area,a meeting for petrol-heads and any american, classic, unusual, rods, customs, low-riders,in fact if its got wheels and its not just an everyday hack/shopping trolley then it'll be welcome and so will you!!!! CARZ'N' COFFEE MEET on the third Sunday of every month starting on April 19th from 9am 'til 1pm at the Museum of Power in Langford where I hold the american car show.Put the word about people, come along and lets make this a worthy meeting!!! Talk cars, xxxx or whatever else, admire other peoples cars, have a bacon butty an coffee and chill!

I thought it'd be nice to go. But as my "every day hack/Trolley" isn't welcome, and neither am i, so fk it!

Not everyone who is a petrol head has a fancy car, most have ordinary ones, but would still like to meet and greet others. Not that you can stop people attending with their Focus or Qashqai.

a promising first meet quite a few interesting cars turned up... 3 stand-outs were :

restored NYC fire-engine - was badly damaged in the Twin Towers attrocity
1960 XK150
Merc SLS AMG

other than those

a few Mustangs, Corvettes, and Yank trucks, (very) early Mini Cooper S, couple of slammed Passats, 911, RWD RS Focus, Silvia drift-car, Datsun Laurel and several others... though muppet boy here forgot to take his camera boxedin

Breakfast was good and the cafe did a roaring trade. All in all I think that this was a good start - be interested to get feed-back from others who went?
