'02 Clio 1.4 - what's broken here?

What am I looking at in these pics that looks to have sheered off?





It's under the front of an '02 1.4 Clio.

Ive never done one on a clio, but it shouldn't be too hard. The hardest bit will probably getting underneath the car any sense unless you have a good jack, or access to a lift.

easy change once underneath the car with it safely on axle stands. Never seen one snap like that though, its usually worn bushes in each end. Looks a bit shiny too... wonder if its been changed in the past and a cheap alternative has been fitted maybe?

Edit, just looked again and the first pic looks like an old one so maybe its the illusion of the camera flash.

easy to change just 2 bolts, wonder how it snapped,as it looks fairly new.
ebay £10 specials are rubbish,don't last.
