I would avoid metallic white, you cannot touch it up and it's not that great vs , say perl BMW white etc.

Flat white is the better option if going white on porkers imho.
If I was going a base colour I rather go with guards red!

that's interesting. I have an October build. Spoke to dealer yesterday and he says that he has not yet had a build date to know exactly when in October and my spec is also not locked in yet.

Should I be worried??
Exactly the same conversation today with my dealer. Printed out the PCGB order sheets for for their dealership for me. Shows month 10 build for our car but status still open and no date in the Chkpt8 (whatever that means) column.
2 other cars with month 10 build showed one with MFGCFD and an Oct date in the Chkpt8 column and one with PRDEST and an Oct date in the same column.

The rest of the GT4's showed still open. Of the 6 listed, 5 were month 10 build and 1 was month 11 build.

Viper was always my number 1 choice. Riviera a close 2nd.

I'll likely end up with White unless they raise the ban on CTS before my order is locked.

Similar question - the OPC can't actually tell me when my build date is yet. They think it's October, but may slip to November. They also say if I adjust the spec it will go to the back of the queue and be built even later. After driving the car at PEC today, I'm thinking of tweaking the spec.

Doesn't sound to me like it's locked yet? Will it really go to the back of the queue? Or is this just the OPC trying to put me off changing the spec because it's loaded?

I don't know if that is true but for me it is much better to get car in march than December plus will be one of the last out the factory

Mine is December.

Carerra White
No club sport / PCCB / Chrono - all those are for show.

Gone for a lot of nice interior bits and carbon buckets.

Still not 100% on the colour but the options are limited!

Sports bucket seats
Steering column leather
Sports chrono package
64 litre fuel tank

Sounds a little odd.

Mine is November build and definitely not locked. The dealer will contact me beforehand since my spec will change - it's currently Viper Green which Porsche have already said I can't have. If they accept it as is I'll be more than happy smile

My built date was the 16th Sept but found out late yesterday that it was completed 3rd September, two weeks early!

Just waiting for a boat now... :-)

I wonder if the Stuttgart beer festival has anything to do with the uncertainty of build dates in Oct? It's a big local event spread over a couple of weeks that the factory employees certianly will be attending as it's traditional?

The cut off for CTS was the 22nd July. I was told I had been allocated a car on the 23rd!!! My dealer put an order through which included CTS (Viper Green) but a few days later received an email saying "NO".

My order including Viper is still what I have logged with Porsche but come lock-in time I imagine I'll have to change it. Shame....Viper Green is the colour I've always wanted on a new Porsche.
