DBM - available for orders up to end Dec - not sure if that means orders placed or delivered - OPC thought placed , but who knows smile

Someone on Rennlist has reported that DBM is now discontinued eek

That's the current spec - i.e. DBM + satin black (minus PCCB). Looks pretty good to my sub-optimal eyes (45 with poor night vision and no carrot sticks in the cup holder to help stop the rot).

Tempted by black/black though if no more DBM or CTS. That RS Grey looks the business though. So hard, just what the GT4 needs to toughen it up. Quite jealous!

Thanks Phooey.

I think Agate looks better than black, personally.

Does anyone have a picture of a Maritime Blue one?

If I had been luck enough to have ordered one, that would of been my colour (I think)

Agate is a stunning colour...if it didn't have that brown hue in certain lights frown

If I was you I'd ring round every OPC tomorrow - there are definitely more cars - don't put all your eggs in one basket - also let the others know that you are 90 % sure you'll get one from your local OPC , but you don't want to risk it - they'll prefer the idea of taking your order to stop someone else doing so - I may be wrong , but it's worth a shot - this isn't a very limited car now , as the second allocation was larger than most people think - I know of an OPC that will have had 20 in total : I bet there will be about 400/500 UK cars being produced . - It feels more like a last run out model pre the next generation , rather like the 911 997.2 GTS.

I think come March / April there will be lots for sale on the slightly used market and prices will reflect this - I may well be wrong - but OPC's allocations are not as limited as some think - I wonder if the large second allocation was Porsche trying to cool down the overs market - I hope so.

Either way , just keep ringing and don't stop and I bet you get one - best of luck to you smile

(P.S - I bet if you do get one and then go back to the OPC that have told you to keep positive , they may suddenly pull one out of the hat - stranger things have happened)

I tend to agree with this though I think that the largest dealers will have had only 15 and the overall number will therefore be lower.

To be honest, my car is a driver and I was bemused by the very idea that secondhand car could possibly be worth more than a new one.

Given it's track orientation, I really look forward to re-living the halcyon days of the 964RS track day driver in a reasonable proportion of the GT4 fraternity, this will be a lot of fun.

I learnt to "drive" in a 964RS smile !!

Investors are not in general, track day enthusiasts ... so for me if the numbers increase that's great news smile

Welcome to track-day learning ... it made me a much slower and better road driver smile

Nice post - I wish I'd learnt to drive in a 964 RS - that must have been fun ! Re the GT4 , not that it matters , but the dealership had 15 in the initial allocation and 5 in the second - this is definitely the case and they aren't a Porsche owned dealer - as I say none of it matters , I'd be happy if there are loads. call me an old traditionalist , but I think you should be able to buy something that someone is making to order without all this fuss and angst . smile

NO dealer had 15 in the initial allocation !!!

Org Porsche press release was 200 UK cars split into 2 years, with the 1st years cars being 125 units, I saw the paper work saying that, so that is a FACT.
NO dealer got 15 from that 1st batch lol some one is pulling your leg !

with delays the 2nd batch blended into the 1st batch and people got excited to get a car and the rumor on many more cars came but this was just the 2nd batch of 85 units , OPC did not know how many they would get from that till much later !!

Now we do have more cars, not many people seem to know how many but that's quite a new thing hence "the dealership had 15 in the initial allocation" is crock !!!

yes we might get 500 and every with a deposit might get one, just stating how it came to be.

Mr D , I have absolutely no agenda here and all I'm doing is passing on info that IS true - I promise you - I don't want to say any more as I don't want to get anyone in trouble , but what I have said is factually correct - I think most people who read my posts would agree that I'm a straight forward member that deals in fact . Not that it matters I guess , I was just genuinely very surprised about the volume of cars this dealer has had / is getting and I wanted to post this as I'd hate to see someone paying well over the odds for their dream car without being in possession of all the facts - once they have them , then it's up to them. I am not talking down prices as if I want one I can get one at list - as I say no agenda here - anyway I hope that everyone who wants one manages to get one as they will be great cars I'm sure (only driven one for 15 mins so not qualified to comment on this as fact )
