Hi, just looking for suggestions of people to get quotes from. I'm based in Wakefield but willing to travel for peace of mind. My Elise has always been a bit rough round the edges with lots of stonechips, a few cracks and more than it's share of bubbling/blistering after 13 years outdoors before I bought it.

I'm looking for someone who can make it look like new(ish) again, without the blisters coming back and without bankrupting me! So it needs to be someone who understands fibreglass I guess.

From other threads Station Road Bodyshop in Kippax and Chris Gregory in Knaresborough came up.

Any others? Anyone care to share experiences with their own fibreglass car?

Thanks!

Drop Talkwrench a line, he's got an Elise just like yours and is a bit handy with bodywork and pretty much everything else you want. He's not in your area though, near Howarth.

DM me for his mobile & email if you like.

When someone crashed into my Clio V6 I used these guys (well, these guys worked at Brian Leighton at the time and then have since started up their own)

Did a lot of work on the fibreglass and the paint match was excellent. I wouldn't use anyone else, they'll be doing some work on my Clio Trophy soon too

Chris Gregory is good for the job, he's done plenty of work for me, personally, and on some stock of mine, as well as customers cars. He has done a full external rebuild on the Exige twice...Tell him I sent you (or I can come with you when you go down for a quote) and you will get looked after wink

Cheers guys, much appreciated.

I'm leaning towards Chris Gregory at the moment due to previous threads and their obvious experience with TVR's etc and from what I've read the Elise would benefit from an oven to ensure all water/solvent is out of the glass before painting.

There's a place in birstal called elite on Bradford road, I think they do quite a lot of race cars that have had battle damage sure it's the ginettas

Anyway they've done work for me and it's always been flawless,

I've also used p jessops at Horbury bridge and I rate them too
