Pics please!
I saw this when it first came into the country and it was in a right state from the wreck.....I guess it was cheap enough to justify its repair though!?

Got a photoshoot coming up and would love to do something with a Viper if it gets finished in time!?

Any pics to prove your claim of the car being "in a right state"?

Is the lack of licence due to it working as intended?

No not personally fatboy! but I know of the guy who bought it in through a US photographer buddy of mine....he took approved shots for the customs clearance!.....it sure wasn't pretty but then what wreck is!?.....I used to live in LA and a Viper wreck was a common site!

The lack of Licence is due to being fitted up by complete tosspots who lose paperwork than blame you
for their error, anyway 21 days to go and no points

Seems you viper guys trashed another owners rebuilt vehicle on here but hey when a club guys totalled car gets passed over everythings cool......kinda sucks to me?!

Er, you are coming in here kind of strong mate! Think you might be talking about another car unless Your Friend can find Vin number and Photographic evidence to prove your claim.

I know the owner who brought it into the UK.

As for the Right Hand Drive car, the guy asked for advice (allegedly) before he bought it, all we did was tell the prospective the truth about the cars history, which is why it had THAT interior. He went ahead and bought it, If the owner is happy with it fair enough, it's now his car.

I was sold a car that had been issued a salvage cert AND a cert of Destruction! So if I can help any future owner from making the same mistake I will.
HPI Check is pretty much useless over here as it will only record the cars history submitted by insurance or finance companies.

When I tried to submit information to HPI about my case they did not want to know! So I got the Police involved too.

We do have www.carfax.eu
Carfax is much better than HPI but its still not foolproof, but it saved me, thanks to a member on here wink

And contrary to what you may think, this is NOT the Viper alley.

For the record, we do have categories for salvaged cars here in the UK

Category 'D'

All other repairable vehicles. The estimated repair costs do not exceed the pre-accident value of the vehicle, but it remains more cost-effective for the insurance company to dispose of it. For example, the cost of providing a hire car to the policy holder for a long period would, when added to the repair costs, total more than the pre-accident value of the vehicle. Alternatively, a vehicle may be recorded as category 'D' because it was stolen and only recovered after the policy holder had been paid out.

The log book (V5) for Cat 'D' vehicles will be issued upon application. They do not require a VIC check

Ok man I get that you have those category's but the values suffer right?....I mean who wants a junked car unless its cheap or sum dude gets suckered into stumping over the odds for trash!?

Stateside we have lemon laws and details about the vehicle history for a few dollars.....its detailed down to warranty and service.....you brits have a lot to learn and I guess that's how you guys don't check history stateside and get stuck with a wiped clean car!?.....good for the UK dealer wise guys eh?

I aint saying its perfect but its a start and some fixes look good on the surface but peak underneath....cracks, deformation....sub surface carbonfibre stress is undetectable!?....hell what do I know I'm just some yank pretty boy!?
