Evo triangle trip 29.08.15

CANCELLED - Due to many members not being able to attend I will be looking at organising another meet in July.


Hi all,

At a recent meet I organised for other local Oxfordshire PH members it seemed most were keen on my suggestion to do a meet/trip to Wales to drive the infamous "Evo Triangle" and an overnight stay at the famous Groes inn.

My suggestion is to do this in August time as hopefully we will be lucky with the weather.

Suggested date is: 22nd August (Saturday).

Plan: Meet in the Merrymouth pub car park at 08:30 AM on the 22nd August:

Merrymouth Inn
Stow Road
Near Burford
Oxon
OX7 6HR

Drive in convoy to Wales to the Evo Triangle at 09:00/09:30 ish: Pentrefoelas, Conwy, UK:

Then head to hotel mid/late afternoon:

Hotel rates start at £125 per night and go up to £175 dependant on what room you go for. You are welcome to bring partners etc entirely up to you.

This will be an awesome trip.

Sounds good to me, it's my birthday weekend though so need to check with the other half that I'm allowed out to play. she definitely won't want to come along.

Ok nice one. To confirm this is happening 22nd august and not 29th august as the thread title suggests. I got my dates mixed up its my sisters wedding on the 29th.

In principle I'm keen on this idea. Getting time off work shouldn't be too difficult. Not sure the missus would approve of the 'spirited' driving so might leave her at home. Lol
