Tried a 991 and Cayman GTS at the Porsche experience centre, the 991 was a bit Mehhh, the GTS was epic, it sounds great with the PSE, and the handling was perfect. Its a lovely bit of kit. Congrats

Best of luck with that, they're a decent bunch in Cardiff I'm sure you'll come away happy - might get chance to see you on Monday, I'll be there having my summer wheels refitted

Congratulations! You have chosen an amazing car, collected ours two weeks ago, our fifth Porsche, ( two Boxsters, a Cayman S PDK and a pre owned Carrera S PDK) and the Boxster GTS is a quantum leap better than any of the cars that preceded it. You've purchased from Cardiff, one of Dick Lovett's garages, they are really first class ( our last two cars came from Swindon after we were abysmally treated by one of the indifferent major chain Porsche dealers more local to me). Lovett's are a proper enthusiast family owned firm!

Enjoy the day and hope the sun shines for you!

Congrats! I picked up my Boxster GTS last November, and it now has 2,150 miles on the clock after lots of dry winter days smile

Best car I've ever owned and the PSE is epic!

Congrats, picking up my CGTS on the 31st. And then sadly straight to get detailed, getting Cup 2 fitted and getting ready for the track!

Why detailing if it is brand new? Isn't it?

Cup 2 tyres, same size as standard, no issues?

When I eventually get my new CGTS in 9-12 months I have already cleared it with the OPC that I will arrange for a specialist detailer to do a new car detail. A new car has very little if any paint protection, the paint will be subject to various dirt & contaminants during transportation & storage. Then once the vehicle arrives at the dealership I doubt they will follow quite the dedication as a specialist detailer will.A new car detail can take a day to do. Infact the dealer could cause more harm during their 'quick' wash. I have seen new cars going out to customers with scratches, swirls etc that was probably caused by the dealership during their wash. It's worth giving your car the best start. The OPC did say they can do a Swisswax detail but tbh I prefer to use a specialist.

The front is wider than stock (245 instead of 235, same rear 265) Haven't picked up the car yet, but I can't see any problems.

It is also getting new sway bars, springs, pagid r29s and clear bra. Then it should be about done for a full season of track work smile

The paint is far form perfect from factory, and also I want to get some more protection on there. Especially the rims when the new pads which will dust a lot more. Luckily I have black rims...

Sorry for not replying to this thread but I have been enjoying driving it too much!! Here is a photo I took yesterday..

Wow what a car! The engine and gearbox seem to be perfectly matched, and I am so glad I went for the PDK. The handling is sublime, but the steering doesn't seem to have the same feel as the 986 Boxster S. I am still running it in, but the PSE is seriously loud, and I just had to give it a brief squirt in the tunnels smile
If anyone wants more driving impressions just give me a shout.. More pictures to come as well...
