Drug driving - reporting
Discussion
Whats the proper route to report drug driving?
The local "yooves" and other select individuals who may or may not appear to be making a living from drug dealing from their car appear to be enjoying themselves in the local gym/cinema car park before then driving off. A very distinct smell of cannabis.
I appreciate i probably should leave them to it, and that i should not be a spoil sport and why is it my problem, but knowing my missus was out running this evening and that they may be navigating their way back through busy streets which could put her at risk, it has left me wondering what the official route is to let local bib know.
It's not an emergency, so i imagine it is a 101. However, i would prefer that they follow it up as quick as possible as they are obviously sat in a public car park static with the car engine running.
Again, i appreciate i should leave them to it - but f**k it, its as bad as drink driving in my mind - do it at home.

While it may be illegal it's really really nothing like drink driving.Drink driving is dangerous and illegal because it impairs your judgement *and* ability.
Driving stoned is illegal and while you would be impaired you're far more aware of your impairment.

Nevertheless, this impairment does not appear to play a significant role in on-road traffic accidents. A 2002 review of seven separate studies involving 7,934 drivers reported, “Crash culpability studies have failed to demonstrate that drivers with cannabinoids in the blood are significantly more likely than drug-free drivers to be culpable in road crashes.” This result is likely because subject under the influence of marijuana are aware of their impairment and compensate for it accordingly, such as by slowing down and by focusing their attention when they know a response will be required. This reaction is just the opposite of that exhibited by drivers under the influence of alcohol, who tend to drive in a more risky manner proportional to their intoxication..”
