Well, it's not in Christchurch, but you could at least have a look under the classifieds here...

www.aucklandcarclub.org.nz/

They have adds up for race car mechanics, for the GT3 and V8 cars...

You could try a couple of NZ job websites:
www.jobstuff.co.nz
www.netcheck.co.nz

Specialist garages are few and far between in Chirstchurch, most of them that do specialise, do so in Japanese or Australian (Ford, Holden) cars.
As to who wants more mechs, I have no idea.

I'll also have a look in the paper for you.

P.S If I find you something, will you service my Elise?
I need to get one first thou, that'll prolly be 10 years away!

We could do with another mechanic up here in Auckland. We only have one decent one so when hes away on leave, we all have to wait. So on your way down to CHCH can you have a look at my Esprit too please

If you emigrate over here and bring an elise with you you wont have to pay GST on it.
If you buy an elise and send it over or if you come here then buy an elise from the UK you will have to pay GST on it

Same for any other country too
