I also think he was better than 90% of the field.He was always in a middle to lower team and every race there were 10-12 cars better than his.If he was in a top team I think he would have had a good chance of the championship.He is an ex F1 driver,although not the best but certainly a lot better than the majority of the Indycar drivers.
Never had the machinery beneath him to have a concerted crack at the title, but has done plenty with lesser equipment, including giving Dale Coyne Racing its only ever victory. None too shabby when you consider that was up against the might of Penske and Ganassi, so clearly doing something right.
