Morning all,
Can anyone recommend a seat that will fit in the cerbera front seats?
I have three car seats but none fit in the available space.
It would need to be a 5 point harness as my daughter is only 2yrs old.
I'm sure this must be a common problem with a simple solution.
Any help appreciated.

Sadly none of mine are any good. They are all way too wide.

I used the Maxi Cosi, but if you are anywhere near Peterborough then I would highly recommend KiddiCare. If you take the car along to them, they will try out a bunch of car seats and tell you which one is best.

In the Chimaera there was an interesting twist, insofar as the buckle is cable mounted and not fixed as modern cars are. This meant that a whole cohort of seats were not suitable.

If Peterborough is too far you should probably try something similar with a local company - maybe Mothercare if you have a big one?

I have a Cerbera, used the Recaro Start seat, together with the Recaro Impact cushion.

The Recaro Start seat is IMO a pretty good seat - has a metal chassis and is fully adjustable so can cope with child's growth (my tall 9 year old can still use same seat now extended). As the Recarro name would imply, there are "wings" at head level, and also shoulder and side level - I trusted these to keep my two safe between ages of 2 years through to current (my daughter is 7 1/2 and son 9 1/2 years).

The Impact Cushion is a fairly large device that sits on the childs lap, it diverts the normal seat belt through a sturdy pair of metal brackets to take the seat belt away from childs neck, and the seat very effectively pins the child into the child seat.

In the Cerb - when kids where younger I used the combination of Reccaro Start seat and Impact cushion in the rear seats, then just the Start seat, then as they got much bigger just the Impact cushion in the rear bucket seats. When just me +1 kid, always use Start seat in the front seat, even for my 91/2 year old son who is very tall for his age.

Suggest you use the search engine in the Cerbera forum - there have been a number of threads over the years on this subject, and I dare say if you look at my postings I will feature in a few!!! After all, the Cerbera IS the FAMILY TVR ... !!!

Just a quick thought - my Cerbera is an 02 model, therefore uses the "Tuscan" seats, rather than the earlier Cerbera seats.

The Reccaro fits well in both the rear and front seats.

PM me for more info if you like...

Thank you for the suggestions. I will be taking a visit to my local Halfords this weekend and trying the seats in my Griff. Hopefully a solution will manifest itself.
Wish me luck.

The Recarro Young Sport is the go to seat for the gentleman driver. biggrin

Has the added bonus that whether through luck or twisted German logic you can fit race harnesses through them as I have just done in the last week with my Tiv as the girls had out grown the built in harnesses.
