Woburn Abbey in Bedfordshire is the family seat of the Duke of Bedford and the venue for the AMOC Spring Concours on the 10th May 2015.

The Club tries to organise our Concours to provide family friendly entertainment.
The estate is diverse and boasts historic landscape gardens, a deer park and the Safari Park. The delightful parkland and gardens surrounding Woburn Abbey provide a glorious backdrop and the ideal canvas for our Spring Concours.

The International Weekend starts on Saturday the 9th May at Newport Pagnell with the Bonhams Aston Martin auction, followed by the International Dinner in the Sculpture Gallery in Woburn Abbey. Details of the dinner are available here: [url] http://www.amoc.org/content/view/1988/946/ [\url]

With Concours becoming increasingly popular, we intend to make this event an exciting day out. Our featured model will be the DB6, as it celebrates its 50th Birthday in 2015. If you would like to be our guest with your DB6, please contact Anne Wright at Club HQ on events@amoc.org.

You would be welcome, either as a competitor or spectator.

Anne

60 odd cars entered for the competitive element of the Concours. 39 DB6 in the Anniversary display. Pre-War cars display area.

120 going to the Saturday night dinner in the Sculture Gallery.

Definitely looking to be a good weekend.

Does anyone know if the entry fee for seeing the concours(not competing) gives entry to the house too?

Hi Rob,

I believe it's around £35.00 pounds for the day per car, that covers one car with up to 7 occupants.

I asked Anne the same question earlier so I hope I've relayed that correctly.

Hope to bump into you there Rob for a catch up……...thumbup

Tony,

I believe the price and the 7 occupants to be for general entry in any type of car not just an Aston.

But there again I stand to be corrected as always,I'm sure Anne will be along shortly to clarify……...thumbup

I bet you could give it a good go into getting yourself and 6 Spearmint Rhino Girls in the DBS if no one was looking………..rolleyes

The usual entrance price for the Abbey and Grounds is £15/person so if there's just the two of you in an Aston it's cheaper to just pay to go in! Incidentally the Group Price seems to be £13.50/person. scratchchin

Hi.I'd love to go to this event. I own a V8 Vantage, but I'm not a member of the AMOC. Is there a link anywhere on here for this?
Dave.

Hello

Focusman53 - you don't have to be a Club Member to come along to the Concours.
However, if you are a Member, you get to hear more of the different events we hold. As a Member, at the Oulton Park race meeting on 16th May, you can join us in the Members hospitality suite overlooking the circuit. Tickets are £10 in advance. You can join online from here: https://www.amoc.org/content/view/1617/848/

Ed - following your query, I checked the 'on the day' price - it is £40. I think that includes looking around the house, but have just sent off an email to check.

As an alternative, you could give your car a good clean and enter it in the 'On the Day Entry' for £25. This will give you an even better parking space.

Blimey Anne it's started to sound an expensive day,£40 to park seems steep to me irrespective of cramming in a car full…………smile

Could you check please if there are any concessions available on the parking especially as I'm likely to be on me todd,I'll happily look at the cars and fore go the House.

Its the cars most will be coming for I guess.

I can't enter as I won't have the Aston available as it's under going a bit of fettling in readiness for the big Highland Hoon so it will be in the general car park with the rest of the rabble for me………...thumbup

Ed, entrance tickets for the Abbey & Grounds are £15.00 - according to their web site. That's not including the Safari Park wink

So...let me this straight....Amoc want £40...... But if you enter on the day they want £25.... But if you just turn up and park with everyone one else it's £15.00..... And still get to see the house.....the mind boggles.....nothing like encouraging members to turn up....
