Hi All
A Quick question.. Going to look at a spider tomorrow don't know the year or any thing about it, always liked the Alfa though never had the chance before. Cant be that new as guy only looking for around £1000 for it. Hasn't been on the road for some time. What do I need to look out for on these cars apart from the rust aspect. hoping it will be a V6. Any kind of advice welcome, I am retired now so looking for a project within reason so hears hoping.
Thanks

It its been sitting for a while, whether is a twin spark or V6, find out when the cam belt was last changed if you buy it. If its over 36k miles / 3 yrs on a twin spark or 60k / 4 years on a V6, trailer it to a mechanic to have it changed before you drive it!

I am also looking for a small convertible for fun over the summer then garage it till next year. have my eyes on a lovely yellow TS Lusso that's in very very good condition. 88k miles and what should I look for...approx. price I should pay??
Have a look at the links on my post above Price wise, the TS Spiders are a lot more numerous. Having a look on here on the PH classifieds & auto trader will give you an idea of where the market is

if its the yellow one it looks pretty clean & straight from the photos, if it needs a cam belt change then you should budget around £500 for that.
if you got it for £2300-2500 all in incl. budgeting a cambelt change then its a bargain for the summer.
Yes its a nice yellow and "sounds" OK, but I wouldn't go over 1.5kif you got it for £2300-2500 all in incl. budgeting a cambelt change then its a bargain for the summer.
