I'm looking to buy a selection of IT hardware in the next few months to work on some wearable technology. I'm planning on getting an iPad, Apple Watch, Microsoft Band and a couple of other IT bits.

I'm on flat rate VAT, so it would be tax efficient for me to make a single purchase of at least two grand so that I can reclaim the VAT. Problem is I cannot get everything I want in a single purchase.

Are there any re-sellers around who could put together one sale from multiple sources for only a small fee so that I can be more VAT efficient?

If you're after just Apple & MS products - maybe John Lewis / PC World would stock them all?

http://www.computacenter.com/home.asp Might fit the bill. They're authorised re-sellers for the companies you talk about and may be interested in your project.

Hi Jimothy,

Can't see why my business couldn't do this for you, we have accounts with distributors in place already and wouldn't have a problem bundling everything on a single invoice.

PM Me?

Hi Jimothy,

We can certainly help with the Apple stuff as we provide B2B and schools with quite a bit of Apple kit. We are a Microsoft provider for licences, but I am unsure if we could get the Band direct from MS. I am sure one of the resellers we deal with could source the band to roll it all into one package.

The further up the chain you are, the better the prices.

What type of wareable technology is it you're looking to do? Or is this something which is totally new and you don't wish to disclose?

FRV is a good scheme for many. whats the current rate for IT?

Not totally new at all - I'm looking at using nearable technology (based off ibeacon) to track when objects are too far away from you (e.g. losing your keys) and provide notifications to the wrist - better than the phone as people may not notice the phone notification in a pocket/handbag etc.

FRV is great - I contract to make most of my money and do apps on the side, so it's 14.5% flat rate (13.5% first year) which against a 20% on the invoices is a pretty sweet amount in the pocket.
