Cleaning glass shower screen
Discussion
I've just tried to spruce up my glass shower screen using Hagesan professional lime scale remover. I used it 50/50 with water and to be fair it's probably the best product of it's type I've tried, however there are still 'water beads' evident. If I try scratching at them with my finger nail I can just about shift them. So my questions are:
- Have another go using it neat?
- What's the best type of abrasive to help things along? I used one of those dish cleaning sponges
- Is it possible that lime scale can permanently mark the glass?
I use cillit bang with an abrasive dishwashing sponge.
Mind you, since I bought http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kärcher-WV60-Window-V... and clean off the glass after every shower, I not only get much less condensation but no calcium build up.
I have London water.

Try Lime Lite. It's the best limescale remover I've tried. (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Limelite-Leave-Active-500ml-Pack/dp/B00HEOSDCM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426878736&sr=8-1&keywords=lime+lite) Other retailers are available, etc.
You shouldn't have any residue after using Lime Lite, but if you do try scraping it off with a window scraper or single edged razor blade. Examples: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=searc...

I have a Majestic Frameless shower cubical. The glass has a coating on it to prevent water marks. The cleaners recommended are

I have used these products for some years now and seems to work well.

And after every shower use a window blade to clean the water off. Use it on tiles too.
I have experimented by using rain-x on the inside of the glass. So far so good.
As for cleaning down if you have marks, I rather like the lemon idea instead of the usual chemicals and will give it a go.

Vinegar, job done. Just the cheapest stuff you can find on the shelf will do the trick.
I use white vinegar also with a green scourer, buff with a clean towel dry. Use the same vinegar for descaling the kettle as I hate chemicals and worst thing that happens is your coffee might not taste so nice if you've not rinsed it enough.
