Have a FL2 with 235/65x17 tyres

I am wanting some Cooper AT3 tyres and I can get either 235/65 or 235/70 and fancy the 70 as they will, to me, look better and fill the arches more.

Both tyres are the same speed rating but the 70 profile has a higher load rating.

At 70mph with the 70 profile I will be doing 72

Any thoughts as to which to get

Don't forget that your speedo will be reading over by as much as 10%, so at an indicated 70, you might really only be doing 65. By changing to a higher profile you will be correcting this to some degree.
I have considered doing something similar, but am vary of how insurance companies would view it, in the case of making a claim.

In reality, you probably wouldn't notice any difference in driving characteristics.

As stated, you'd be better checking with your insurance company before changing the spec of the car.
