Electronics in the air intake - MG ZR

Hiya,

So double question here. Firstly, what electronics need to be reconnected to an aftermarket intake if you replace the factory unit (for this car only)? And secondly, can you tell me whether this is a decent buy for under £50 [ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/01-03-MG-ZR105-1-4L-16V-... ]

So you're happy spending £35 on a piece of plastic, that won't increase power (will actually decrease it), but when the head goes you'll scrap the car?
