Speed/surveilance cameras

If your vehicle passed one of these cameras with no or obscured number plates would the cameras pick up on any distinguishing unique marks on the vehicle, that's if there were any ?.....Just wondered.

Probably not.

However the abscence of number plates would be illegal and very likely to cause the police to attempt to stop the vehicle if spotted.

Personally not something I would consider.
