Lots of yellow poles - many with cameras atop - appeared along the A12 this morning. Clearly someone had been busy over the weekend.

All sporting aerials and they haven't missed the slip roads either.

Average speed cameras?

It's pretty much impossible to reach 70mph during the morning and evening peaks, and the rest of the day you're going nowhere fast as the trucks all drive two-abreast.

Still, at least we can trust the Tories to end Labour's war against the motorist. Oh.

Would that be Witham - Kelvedon stretch?

Noticed them myself today, not yet active I assume as there is no signage stating as much.

Oh and as a two abreast lorry driver I will protect your licence. hehe

fking things being rolled out all over the place. Drive up and down that bit a lot during the day in non-rush hour.

Yep. They seemed to have managed to fit a fair few over the weekend though. Shame they can't repair potholes that quickly!

I imagine this could be for the repair works on the bridge - regular A12 users will be aware of the damage from a bridge strike some time ago. I think the bridge in question is close to Kelevedon, it has had a long term sign highlighting the fact that "The authorities are aware of the damage" or something of that nature.

On the other hand I could just be blowing hot air out of my dung trumpet - would not be a first. laugh
